About the research
Research objective: With the assistance of the Iowa DOT and Iowa State University Bridge Engineering Center, Boone County, Iowa will construct a multispan bridge using rapid construction techniques. This bridge will replace an existing Marsh Arch bridge located on 120th St. over Squaw Creek in Boone County.
Field monitoring will be performed on the subject bridge to help in assessing the behavior of the individual elements during construction, the long-term performance of the individual components, and long-term performance and overall behavior of the completed bridge.
