About the research

Research objective: Assist the Ohio DOT in the development of pre-construction, construction, and post-construction strategies that will help eliminate poor ride quality near bridges. In particular, the objectives of the project are to --Develop recommendations and proposed specification changes for design and construction of future bridges. --Develop recommendations for a prioritiezed set of corrective measures for existing bridges which have begun to show varying degrees of distress. --Develop and present a one-week practical workshop for the Ohio DOT in the proper assessment of deteriorated bridges and the application of appropriate corrective measures.
